You cannot recover any Xpert-Timer data from your Android device if you don't create backups. The data of the application is saved in the Android storage where you don't have access to, using a file explorer. Make sure you create backups and send them to other devices or accounts. This is the only way you can recover data when your device crashes, breaks or gets stolen.
You can create a backup of your database at any time. We suggest to do that on a regular basis, in case your Android device crashes or gets stolen.
Go to the main dialog and open the menu and point to "Backup".
There are a couple of options to choose from:
- You save your data on the SD Card. You'll find the saved file in the folder "xperttimer" with the filename "xperttimer.db". There's also an xperttimer.zip file, that you can now send through email. This file should be saved in a secure location, you still have access to if your smartphone gets stolen or breaks. The easiest way to save the file is to send it through e-mail to one of your accounts.
- You can export your data to an XML file and save if on your phone or copy it to a secure location. You can of course use the XML data for further processing.as well.
