I would like to test the synchronization between the mobile and desktop version. What do I need to do?

Please note, the synchronization only works with Xpert-Timer Pro. If you want to test the synchronization please send an e-mail to service@xperttimer.de and request a trial license. This license will be valid for 30 days, which gives you enough time to test the functions.

What are the steps I need to take in order to synchronize with Windows Smartphone / Tablet?

The detailed installation instructions are found in the manual: http://manual.xperttimer.com/mobile/synchronise_with_pro_version.htm

1.Xpert-Timer Pro: https://download.xpertdesign.de/XTInstEN.exe

2.XTSyncServer: https://download.xpertdesign.de/XTInstSyncserver.exe

3.Configure the XTSyncServer. You can find all the information in the above manual.

4.Buy  Xpert-Timer Mobile App in the Google Play Store.

5.Activate the synchronization in Xpert-Timer Pro and afterwards activate your Sync-ID in your Mobile version using the Activation Code created in Xpert-Timer Pro.

6.Configure your Xpert-Timer Mobile in order to exchange the correct data.

Should I use the XTSyncServer.exe or SynServer Service?

If you work in the single-user version and synchronize the data only when you return to your office, then you can use the XTWebserver.exe. Just start the .exe before synchronizing.

If you send the data from outside the office to your central database, you should install the service on a Windows machine that runs all the time. Then you can synchronize your data through the internet and it guarantees you a constant connection to your database. (XTWebServiceControl.exe)

Is synchronization via the internet safe?

It's always a question of the configuration. When you open your ports and secure them with a user name and password, external access should not be possible. Please make sure, a professional administrator sets up your system.
